A Little Rain... Laura & Greg
A couple of months back I got a call from the lovely Ali in NY who asked me if I might be able to shoot her brother Greg's wedding at the DuPage County Courthouse, and maybe do some pictures of the newly wed couple afterwards before they went off for lunch. Here's what happened...
Gina & I got to the courthouse early, we had never met Laura & Greg so we watched as all the couples who were scheduled to get married arrived & checked in. I hope this doesn't sound too snobby but we were SO pleased when we met Greg & Laura, they came in looking amazing surrounded by happy excited people. Exactly what we were hoping for! 
The courthouse wasn't a particularly attractive building but a beautiful bride like Laura makes everything look great!

Once the ceremony was over we wanted to head out to the park. I was thinking Cantigny Gardens as it was pretty close. The weather had become VERY rainy while we were at the courthouse but we decided to go anyway - It's a Wedding after all.
The rain did give us a little break while we were there, just enough to put the umbrella away for a few minutes.
There's an explanation for this....

...So that was Greg & Laura. It may not have turned out to be the perfect day but I can promise you that all the smiles were genuine and the love and happiness that the couple, their family & friends were expressing was wonderful to witness.

Peter - these pictures look amazing!! Your ability to catch and create extraordinary photos is truly evident. Your time, patience’s, and pleasant attitude with this wedding made a lifetime of memories for the happy couple. Thank you for all yours and Gina's time and effort into creating beautiful memories from my brother and sister in-law. You were wonderful!
